Mike was a co-founder and formerly a Principal of Lifeskills International. After negotiating Lifeskills new joint-partnership company with Axia NetMedia Corporation, Mike became a consultant to both Lifeskills and Axia CitizenConnect. Before this he had been a teacher for many years and Deputy Director of the Counselling and Career Development Unit at Leeds University.

He has worked as both trainer and consultant at all levels, from Board to front line, in many major organisations. Mike has led major Development programmes in sectors such as financial services, retailing, hospitality, health, travel, chemical and pharmaceuticals, IT, charities, education and local government. He has also written some 20 books, and has lectured at many national and international management and education conferences on the themes of Culture Change, Building Customer-driven Organisations, People Development, Self-managed Learning and Teaching Lifeskills.

Mike has consulted with international organisations in Europe, Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Scandinavia, Uganda and Brazil and has a particular interest outside of the business in making Lifeskills’ expertise available to agencies working for development in the Third World.
