Axia CitizenConnect has signed a 3 year enterprise agreement with Ufi Ltd worth in excess of £750,000. This agreement allows Ufi to offer access to learndirect-futures, their unique internet based careers application, to their learners free of charge.
Nearly 5,000 people requiring careers advice and guidance have logged onto the application since it became free of charge in November 2002.
Ufi launched learndirect-futures in August 2000. Using a series of on-line diagnostic exercises the application helps users to learn more about themselves and their work preferences by matching their skills and interests to opportunities in the workplace. The application, which can be accessed by logging onto www.learndirect-futures.co.uk, also incorporates details on over 900 job profiles and advice on over 500,000 courses all updated daily. It also incorporates a series of lifelong learning modules which are broken down in three sections, Life Skills, Work Skills and Job Search Skills.
On signing this agreement, Gareth Dent, Head of Advice Services at Ufi Ltd said "'learndirect-futures is a world leader in online careers diagnostics. I am very pleased we are continuing to work with Axia CitizenConnect to make it more widely accessible."
"We are delighted that Ufi have decided to extend the use of learndirect-futures by offering it free of charge to learndirect learners and already we are seeing a dramatic increase in people accessing the application." said Steve Walker, Managing Director of Axia CitizenConnect. "We are privileged to be working with such innovative leaders in the e-learning sector".
