Axia CitizenConnect selected by the Society and College of Radiographers
Axia CitizenConnect (ACC) and the Society and College of Radiographers (SCOR) have signed a 5 year agreement worth £140,000 for the provision of a web-based Continual Professional Development (CPD) recording and reporting system for radiographers and assistants.
The tool is designed to be used by all members, and supports CPD recording and reporting at all levels of practice, including management and education. The tool also supports accreditation of individuals CPD activities, and is designed to meet both professional body demands and the emerging requirements of the HPC.
Following a competitive tendering process, the Society judged ACCs proposal as offering the best value and the most economically advantageous solution by providing:-
A very high degree of fit to SCOR requirements
The capacity, capability and flexibility to add to the system during the term of the agreement
A proven reliable service evidenced by positive customer references
The level of skills, support and calibre of human resource required
High quality management information and the commitment to providing interfaces with SCORs current services
A supplier with presence and experience in CPD and in public and healthcare services
Audrey Paterson, SCOR Director of Professional Policy commented "We believe that we have found a system that will be used by a high proportion of our members to record evidence of their professional development and promote effective participation in a wide range of CPD activities. The ACC system also allows us to develop online CPD learning and analyse CPD activity to make sure we get SCOR CPD provision right. This is an important part of our service to members to support their career development and an important element in maintaining high quality services to patients".
On signing the agreement Bryan Forbes, ACC Sales and Marketing Director said "We are delighted that the Society and College of Radiographers has chosen to work with Axia CitizenConnect on this important and innovative project. Axia CitizenConnect has a mission to provide solutions that make a positive and significant impact on lifelong learning and workforce development. We are sure that, working in partnership with the SCOR, we will deliver real benefits to its members and the wider community".
